Let me introduce myself; I am Isabelle Iles and I founded Isabloom Floral design in Novemeber 2018…

I grew up in Bristol surrounded by pretty petals with my mum being a trained florist, always filling the house with beautiful blooms and both of my grandfather’s keen gardeners. From a young age I remember feeling so uplifted, free and happy when being around flowers and in the garden. As I got older, I used to dream of being a florist but as many did, I followed the more academic route studying and working in fashion marketing for many years before finally leaving it all and travelling the world. Travel completely inspired me to follow my dreams and I retrained in floristry when returning home to Bristol.

Since founding Isabloom Floral Design I have never looked back. My intimate flower studio nestled in the countryside on the outskirts of Bristol is my little haven where I create floral designs for your every need including; occasion and gift bouquets, weddings, funerals, events, installations, corporate, weekly contracts home décor etc. Although Bristol based, I also cover Bath, Somerset, Cotswolds and Gloucestershire.

My style draws inspiration from nature itself with a bohemian edge. Every design is very unique and is created with the client in mind and their individual style. I often like to combine a mixture of fresh flowers with a few dried stems. Nothing I create will ever feel unnatural. I also love to work with both indoor and outdoor plants and love to learn something new about them every day as my knowledge on this field grows. Artificial flowers and plants are also materials that I work with as the quality of these today has greatly improved and can be such a cost effective way to work for the client.

I source only seasonal flowers and try to buy locally grown where I can. I will only purchase the highest quality blooms as it is very important to me to retain a certain standard within my work.

The environment is very important to me and is something that I am very conscious of at Isabloom Floral Design. Sadly, the flower industry creates a lot of plastic waste, so I keep all of my packaging 100% recyclable and will only use biodegradable floral foam when it is absolutely necessary.

People often ask me what my favourite flower is but to be honest I really do not have one. I love and respect all flowers within their own right. They are all so unique and different. Flowers lend themselves to different occasions and uses and therefore I have many favourites for many different things. My favourite thing to do with flowers is to create a blooming marvellous installation. I love nothing more than to sit down and design a big living structure or stunning floral arch and then to make heads turn once I have created it. Creating someone’s dream and vision on their wedding morning is also a very special part of my work that I love.
