Megan and Sam tied the knot at Kingscote Barn at the beginning of September last year and it was the most beautiful way to kick off the autumn season of wedding flowering...

From the very start Megan had a clear vision of how she wanted her wedding flowers to be and it was very unique to her, something I love! Megan is a lover of house plants and really wanted this to shine through instead of it being heavily flower focused. The colour palette we decided on was whites, neutrals, greens with a hint of copper to welcome the change of season. Along with the unusual foliage and seasonal flowers I planned to add some dried grasses into the mix to introduce those warm neutral tones to tie it all together and add further texture.

The bridal bouquet was always going to be a showstopper to align with the brief but when it all came together it really was a 'wow' factor. Delivering it to Megan was such a lovely moment. Wedding mornings are always a little crazy with the bridal party all getting ready, family members popping in and out, stylists everywhere and photographers getting their snaps but Megan got ready just her and her mum and it was so relaxed, she really took in her bouquet and I just knew she was happy which is the best feeling ever for me. Buttonholes were gorgeous little creations to compliment the bridal bouquet.

Dressing the balcony at Kingscote Barn is always a must! It is such a feature space and lends itself to gorgeous florals. While working out budgets I always say to try and squeeze this in if you can. It is the focal point for your day; you get married under it, you dine under it, you celebrate under it and you dance the night away under it! We kept the decor of the balcony simple for Megan and Sam with a mix of gorgeous foliages broke up with dried stems and seasonal orange leaves.

The table layout was the classic long top table and guest round tables. The guests dined with a trio of bud vases which simply lends itself to the rustic barn style of Kingscote. The top table was then the main feature with a gorgeous foliage garland to compliment the balcony with bud vases dotted through to match in with the tables. The top table bud vases had been used previously to decorate the ceremony table which is always a nice idea.

We loved flowering for Sam and Megan at Kingscote Barn last September and hope they have had a lovely time as newly weds so far. The one year anniversary is fast approaching!

Like most brides, I didn't really know where to start with my wedding flowers. I just knew I wanted lots of dried flowers and greenery to fit in with our rustic/barn style wedding, and Isabelle's portfolio instantly stood out to me for that. When I got in touch with Isabelle, she was super helpful and gave me lots of great ideas and insights into how I could style the flowers to fit in with my scheme and venue. After my initial consultation with Isabelle, I knew she was the florist for me and I was so excited to see how it would look on the day! To say they were perfect seems cliché but honestly, the flowers were stunning and completely matched a vision that I didn't even know I had! The mixture of dried, fresh and greenery was exactly what I wanted and it completely transformed the venue. The most special part for me was my bouquet. I was blown away by how unique and beautiful it was and it felt really 'me'. I loved it so much that I didn't put it down all day! Would absolutely recommend Isabelle to anyone in need of a florist - you will not look back! :) I only wish I could have another wedding to create the style all over again! x
