It has to be my favourite 2022 wedding to date. I know, I know I shouldn't have favourites but I cannot help it! Char and Ben's wedding was just a little bit of me and the stunning backdrop of The Pear Tree really did help...

From the moment I first had a conversation with Char I just knew she was my bride. She had a clear floral vision, which did change slightly over time, but I just got her vision and we had one big thing in common... TEXTURE. We both adore texture in big bouncy wedding blooms. The ex wedding planner in Char meant that she knew what she was talking about and she had every detail planned down to a tee which really paid off on the day. It was such a fun and beautiful wedding.

It was our first time at The Pear Tree and I cannot thank Char and Ben enough for introducing me to this most amazing hidden gem in a little village in the Swindon countryside. We will be back there this year and next wedding flowering and I cannot wait. They have transformed the inside of an old Manor House into this gorgeous modern and clean cut space with black framed windows looking out on to the most gorgeous landscaped gardens with pretty flower lined paths and an outdoor tipi bar. The beautiful August day Char and Ben picked was just meant to be.

Lets talk details; the wedding flower colour palette was to be colourful yet subtle with pastel tones of blush, apricot and peach with a pop of pink. The colours were there to do the talking with no greenery and it really was all about the flowers. Flowers and colour; big wedding trends this year and next. Char loved big blooms so we went for a collection of roses, dahlia, hydrangea, lisianthus, carnations and we used gyp to fill larger installation pieces.

Chars bridal bouquet would follow suit in a natural shape, not too big with lots of texture and yet again letting the flowers do the talking. The bridesmaids then complimented this in the most gorgeously unique way with 3 varying colour palettes of peach, blush and pink with their own flower bunches of hydrangea, rose and dahlia.

As always the male buttonholes simply complimented the bridal bouquet which worked so beautifully against a classic black tux.

We made the most of the English summer which was actually playing ball that day and the ceremony took place in the gardens. We created these flower structures on to black square stands which worked so well with the black framed windows. They created an interesting ceremony focal point and the best thing of all they could be repurposed for the top table decor.

The reception flowers were the main event... the wow factor. This is when Char really wanted to start bringing the fun into the day and lets just say the disco balls came out! Char and Ben chose to do things a little differently and had just the two of them on their top table which I really loved. It is always so political who you have sitting up there and often causes unnecessary stress. As it was only a small table Char wanted to make sure it stood out. Set against the glass with the gardens in the background we reused the ceremony stands on either side of the table and then created a cascading flower and disco ball installation.

For the round guest tables I wanted to create a miniature garden look so we created this into these clean cut white ceramic vases to match the style of the room. Paired with the table linen and amazing stationary it all complimented each other perfectly.

And then it was on to the main event... the flower cloud. Something Char had dreamt of. The roof light at The Pear Tree simply lends itself to a hanging flower installation to complete the room. We created a gyp cloud and filled it with flower stems. It finished everything off beautifully and was so much fun to create. Shout out to Zac; half of the most amazing photographer duo on the day from The Smiths & Co who helped us hoist it up. A little stress but as always we got there in the end. Note to self; need a taller ladder next time!

Following the reception judging by the images it looked like this lot partied well into the night!
