I love to get involved in styled wedding shoots as I get the chance to let my creativity run away with me in the hope to inspire future brides and grooms. The lovely Sophie from Sophie Wylie Make Up asked me to design the florals for her shoot at the gorgeous Eastington Park in Gloucestershire. It is always great to work with, support and get to know local wedding suppliers who also run small independent business like me. Also involved with the shoot were fellow south west wedding suppliers; photographer; Hana Dallimore, hair stylist; Stacey Jade, dress boutique; The Mews Bridal and accessories brand; Kontes London.
For the shoot I created three different bridal bouquet designs. The first design was a fresh Spring Summer bouquet in gorgeously subtle pastel tones. Quite classic in shape but with a very natural feel thanks to the variety of textures from the flowers and foliages used. In this bouquet I used; roses, ranunculus, hellebore, astrantia mixed with some greenery in the form of pittosporum and dusty miller.
For the second bridal bouquet I wanted to create a 'height of summer' look. I used rich, luxurious and bright colours that would make the images pop. For the flowers I chose; roses, clematis, wax flower, thistle, genista, craspedia with hints of dried lavender for that summer scent. The supporting foliage was the rich green ruscus. This bouquet worked so well with the lip colour matched by Sophie.
For the final look I wanted to create a show stopper! I really fell in love whilst creating this egg bouquet with the colour tones and the unique flowers used. In this bridal bouquet I used a combination of dried and fresh flowers to include; dried white ruscus, dried pampas grass, dried white honesty, dried bunny tails, an orchid, an anthurium, roses, carnations and lisianthus.
