We would like to say a huge congratulations to Alexandra and David who tied the knot on a gorgeous Septembers day in the countryside village of Chew Magna. We filled their day with colour which matched Alex's bright smile perfectly!

Following on from our initial consultation Alex decided on quite a neutral colour scheme of whites and greens with a hint of mauve. However, on our final consultation Alex had a complete change of heart after watching our Instagram throughout the summer and decided to go for a vibrant mix of bright colours in seasonal blooms and we are so glad she did as it just complimented the wedding so perfectly.

Your final flower decisions do not need to be made until the final consultation around 8 weeks before the wedding.

Alex and David's wedding flower collection included; roses, dahlia, daisies, wax flower, delphinium, pampas grass and lots of seasonal foliage.

For Alex's bridal bouquet we decided on a mix of the wedding flowers and colours in a true to size natural shape that was bursting with texture. I think we may have hit the brief! Her lovely bridesmaids then had a smaller and simpler version to compliment her bouquet and the button holes were a much smaller version of this! For her gorgeous little flower girls we created dried flower hoops so that they could keep them and always remember being Alex's flower girls. It is every little girls dream right!?

The ceremony took place in the stunning village church. We added milk churn displays to the entrance which were able to be moved across to the reception. We love reusing flowers to get the most out of them on a wedding day and minimising waste. We then also added colourful pew ends down the aisle. Pew ends should always be left in the church following the ceremony as a sign of respect.

The reception was held just down the path in The Old School Rooms and was a beautifully relaxed affair. Long tables joined everyone together in a U shape and we filled a variety of recycled glass bottles with flowers as if they had been hand picked from the garden to go through the centre of the tables in-between the candles. We then also added two mini urns of eucalyptus picked from a family members garden in front of the top table and extra bottles of flowers around the venue; on window sills and the bar for an extra pop.
