Emily and Ben tied the knot in a beautifully simple yet super stylish way back in August. The newly weds had a registry office ceremony in Bristol city centre with close family and friends and then went on to their reception at The Rising Sun pub in Pensford after a good feast at Three Brothers Burgers on the Bristol Harbour. Emily chose Isabloom Floral Design to create her wedding flower vision and it was such a pleasure to do so.
Emily and Ben and their two little girls created the coolest wedding party with their bohemian rock and roll edge. Emily wanted the flowers to be very relaxed and natural with a boho feel which is very much up my street! I loved it when I turned up on the morning of the wedding to deliver the flowers and they were all wearing Dr Martens. Every brides dream to have comfy shoes on her wedding day right?
Emily contacted me via Instagram a couple of months before the wedding and we arranged the whole things via message.
It was a very small wedding flower collection with only the bridal bouquet, bridesmaids flower crowns and the grooms buttonhole. Emily had seen an image online she liked and sent to me which was stunning so we would recreate something similar for her and base the rest around this. The bouquet was full of smaller more wild looking summer blooms such as daises and wax flower and then I added some ivory roses, eucalyptus and gave it a trailing amaranthus collar which really gave it that unique bohemian style. I also added in some dried grasses and wheat to ensure it had the edge she wanted. Instead of ribbon Emily liked draping fabric that almost looked vintage so she sourced this in her local charity shop and I used this to finish off the hand tied bridal bouquet. For Ben's buttonhole I used the smaller flowers instead of a focus flower like the rose to keep the style throughout.
For the girls flower crowns as they are young I used the smaller flowers such as the daises and wax flower instead of bigger blooms to create them pretty little crowns that would not get in their way or over power them. They were finished off with trailing bottle green ribbon which was a little colour theme due to Ben's stylish suit.
Thank you to Emily and Ben for choosing Isabloom Floral Design to create their wedding flower collection and especially to Emily for believing in us and trusting us with her vision. We wish you all the happiness in your future together and with your girls.
