Lucy and Taylor tied the knot just before Christmas on the 23rd December. They chose the gorgeous Priston Mill near Bath for their wedding venue including ceremony and reception. It was a beautiful crisp winters day with the sun in the sky. The couple chose Isabloom Floral Design to create their fresh wedding flowers.

I first met with Lucy back in February 2019 to discuss her ideas for her wedding flowers. As Lucy was having mostly artificial decoration it was her bridal party bouquets and corsages along with the grooms parties button holes that they required. I was so happy when Lucy revealed that she wanted a classic red rose rounded wedding bouquet. I think this is such a timeless look for a Christmas wedding and not something I often do. In order for Lucy's bouquet to really stand out she just wanted white roses with some gypsophila and greenery for her bridesmaids along with gypsophila posies for the flower girls. The mums wanted to avoid pinning anything on to their new frocks so opted for wrist corsages created with white roses. The button holes would reflect the bridal parties flowers with white roses, gypsophila and greenery. The groom was going to consider having a red rose to match the bride.

Myself and Lucy kept in contact throughout the build up to the wedding and during the summer when Lucy came across peonies she did contact me to see if white peonies would be an option instead of the red roses. I explained to Lucy that peonies are a summer bloom and would not be around. As I only source seasonal flowers for environmental purposes I introduced Lucy to the many types of roses available including the stunning variety that looks identical to a peony. Although Lucy loved these she decided to stick with the red roses which I am so glad about as they looked amazing with her Alison Jayne gown. I met Lucy again in October to catch up and confirm everything.

Me and Lucy met back up in October 2019, two months before the wedding for our final wedding flower consultation. It is always so different to the initial consultation as by this point the bride has most of the wedding planned and will know the exact flower choices. This is the time where we confirm everything. When meeting back up with Lucy we confirmed that the bridal parties flowers were staying the same along with the corsages and the buttonholes. Taylor had decided against the red rose and was going with white the same as the rest of his party. Lucy also added on some 'thank you' bouquets for their mothers.

The flowers were all ordered in and I collected them the day before the wedding. They were all prepped and I was so pleased with everything and in particular the red roses. I chose the Naomi red rose and the scent and quality was just perfect! On the day I popped to Priston Mill to deliver the 'thank you' bouquets and buttonholes and then went on to Bathen House Hotel to deliver the bridal flowers.

I would like to say a huge congratulations to Mr and Mrs Moss and thank them for choosing Isabloom Floral Design as their wedding florist. I wish them all the happiness in their new married life.
