Louise and Thom tied the knot in Bristol on 26thOctober 2019. It was a beautifully autumnal affair filled with seasonal colours and blooms. The couple chose Isabloom Floral Design as their wedding florist for the big day which took place in two great south west wedding venues. The ceremony took place in Arnos Vale Cemetery followed by the reception at a new venue; The Nailsea Tithe Barn. It was one of those days where it rained from start to finish but Louise and Thom really did not let it dampen their spirits.

I first met with Louise back in January 2019 to talk all things wedding flowers. Louise did not have a set theme for the wedding and was very relaxed about the whole thing which is always so refreshing. The couple had seen a shoot I had recently done at the SS Great Britain and it had inspired their floral look for the wedding day. Louise loved the style and flowers used in the bridal bouquet which were autumnal pinks and ivories, she just wanted to add in a bit more seasonal colour. Louise did not know too much about flowers and was happy for me to take the creative lead.

The couple were not having too many flowers with just a bridal bouquet, two bridesmaids’ bouquets, button holes, table plan décor and a long and low display for the ceremony table which would be reused on the top table at the reception. Along with ‘thank you’ bouquets for their mothers.

I had been working on the flower collection and in September 2019 we met for our final wedding flower consultation to confirm everything. This is when I introduced Louise to the flowers and colours that would be used for the wedding. I had chosen a gorgeous combination of autumn wedding flowers to include; rose, anemone, ranunculus, protea, berry, thistle, astilbe, lisianthus and wax mixed with seasonal foliage’s such as; pistachio, eucalyptus and ruscus. The colour scheme would be whites, greens, deep pinks, brown and oranges. Louise was more than happy with everything and the next time I would see her was on the morning of her wedding day!

Two weeks before the big day I ordered all of the wedding flowers at my suppliers which I picked up two days before the wedding. After pick up, the flowers were conditioned and left in fresh water in my cool workshop to slightly bloom. The day before the wedding the real preparations started and on the morning of the wedding the final touches were added before I set off with the help of my mother to deliver and set up the wedding flowers. Our first stop was a local hair salon; Halo hair and beauty to deliver the bouquets and Louise’s dads buttonhole. It was then off to Arnos Vale Cemetery where the ceremony would take place to deliver the remaining buttonholes and top table piece. Following this, the last stop was The Nailsea Tithe Barn to decorate the table plan.

I would like to say a huge congratulations to Mr and Mrs Epps and thank them for choosing Isabloom Floral Design as their wedding florist. I wish them all the happiness in their new married life. Thom actually designed my website which I am so happy with so if you would like to enquire about his services please let me know.

I was recommended Isabloom by my family, and from our first meeting Issy knew exactly what style we were looking for. We gave her complete creative freedom and what she created was beautiful. We couldn’t of wished for anything better. We had so many compliments on the day, such a unique creation. She also created beautiful thank you flowers that matched my bouquet. Thank you so much Issy, I highly recommend.
