The lovely Victoria and Adam tied the knot on 7th March 2020 at the gorgeous Gloucestershire wedding venue that is Elmore Court. The pair had a beautifully unique wedding where two cultures and traditions came together to create something truly memorable.

Prior to the wedding day I had never met Victoria and Adam in the flesh as they are London based. Victoria discovered my work on Instagram and contacted me back in October 2019 when we spoke over the phone for the initial wedding flower consultation before our final consultation on FaceTime closer to the time. During our first talks we spoke a lot about flower types and colours as the couple were not exactly sure on what they wanted. Due to Adams heritage there would be an Afghan ceremony, following a humanist ceremony which meant there was going to be a lot of colour involved with both parties getting changed into traditional dress. Victoria wanted to make sure there wasn't too much of a colour clash. They loved the deep jewel colours but also didn't want it to look too dark and christmassy as the wedding would be at the beginning of Spring. Victoria and Adam also felt very strongly that their wedding flowers wouldn't have too much of an environmental impact which of course is always a big concern of mine anyway. This meant that we would only be using in season blooms, something I only offer. I gave them a list of Spring flowers to look up and they were going to have a think on colours. We also discussed the different types of arrangements that they would want. Again they were not 100% sure on how many flowers they wanted in the wedding so we discussed them all and I quoted for them all so that they could decide what suited them.

After some thinking time I had another telephone conversation with Victoria and Adam to confirm some things a couple of months later. Final choices wouldn't need to be decided on until January 2020 but they had chose the colours and flowers types. We decided on a gorgeous Spring wedding flower collection of; roses, ranunculus, tulips, craspedia, anemone, clematis mixed with lots of greenery to include fresh herbs. These flowers would be in a mix of colours to include Spring tones with some deeper luxurious splashes; ivory, pinks, yellow, orange, burgundy, red and greens. The flower arrangements would include; bridal bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, button holes, pew ends which would be put into bottles and decorate cake table, aisle plinth displays which would be moved to reception and large jars for the tables. Victoria really wanted all the flowers to look very natural and unstructured.

Following our final wedding flower consultation via FaceTime in January 2020 I got on and ordered all the beautiful Spring blooms. I couldn't wait for Victoria and Adams wedding to come around as it would be my first 2020 wedding and I was super excited. One month before the wedding Victoria and Adam paid their wedding balance following the deposit payment on booking and two days before the wedding I was at the market collecting all of the blooms before taking them back to the workshop to condition them all and leave them to slightly bloom over night. The next day I prepped all of the flower arrangements I could and loaded up the van ready to set off on the wedding morning.

On the wedding day it was so nice to finally meet Victoria and Adam and see their happy reaction to the flowers. Me and my mum set everything up and I created the large natural plinth displays for the top of the aisle along with attaching the pew ends and decorating the tables with the jars. I then delivered the bouquets to Victoria and we were done! The first wedding of 2020 was complete. I was so excited to see all of the photographs from this beautiful wedding and they did not disappoint.

I wish the lovely Victoria and Adam all of the best in their future together and thank them for putting their trust into me even from afar when not being able to meet in person until the wedding day x

We contacted Isabelle after seeing her fresh and modern style on Instagram. After chatting to her over the phone not only was she really friendly and patient while we ummed and ahhed over colours, but she was also very supportive of helping make our flowers as local and sustainable as possible. We caught up at regular intervals and she was flexible when we wanted to tweak our order last minute. We had loved what she had suggested on paper regarding colour and style, but what arrived on the day went beyond our expectations. We got our colourful yet elegant bouquets and button holes, and our dining room looked fresh and vibrant. I'd highly recommend Isabelle to anybody looking for a wedding florist. She is calm, patient, attentive, creative and just did her job on the day, which meant one less thing to worry about on the day! Thank you Isabelle.
